I have 5 sets of 350mcm going vertical through a building. Unfortunately I didn't keep my eye on it and got hit for not having enough cable supports. I'm at 70ft as opposed to 60ft in one instance. Other than cutting in another box which is a nightmare ,does anyone have any other solutions.

You only misplaced one of the supports that is off by 10'?

I think a box is the only way, otherwise how are you going to support the conductors that are in the conduit.

Cutting in a box? explain please. Is this vertical run not in conduit?

Yes and in order to comply with T300.19(A) for vertical support you would need a box to install the support device. Since the OP has exceeded the maximum of 60' for 350 kcmil he needs to have a support somewhere in that section of the run to get his maximum support down to 60' apart.

I'm on board now thanks. :)

I'm looking at an open mesh support grip, the specs say the standard grip is rated for 99ft and loads up to 600lbs which would meet my requirements. By any chance would this get me out of a bind.

IMO, No. That's simply the rating of the grip.

That's the purpose the grip is designed for and labeled and listed.
I spoke to a different AHJ that seems to think it should be ok and another that says I might need special permission from the advisory board. Am I fighting a losing battle?

I don't think so.
Try it.
They may approve it since you only missed it by 10 feet.
