This is a GE subpanel labeled TP1212E Model 1, probably over 40 years old in a condo in Florida . The main breaker is on the first floor electrical room in the condo.
On the panel cover it says:
“Use with Class NI, G-E Type TR, TQL, TAL breakers.”
From speaking to others and searching, THQL breakers can be used here as a replacement. I bought a couple from Home Depot and they fit and worked. But just because it fits doesn’t mean it’s ok. So does anyone have any thoughts on using THQL breakers here?
Another question that I have is will I be able to install 2-pole GFCI breakers on this old panel? Are there any special requirements besides connection to the neutral bus?
