My spec is calling for this cable. This cable gets installed between the VFD and the motor. Correct? Or would it be the entire run. It is listed under a part in the spec thta says AFD Cable then lists it's propeties and specs the attached cable.

VFD cable is only needed between the drive and the motor (despite what some companies will tell you). It is sized the same way as any other cable.

Edited to add: VFD cable is something Service Wire actually does quite well, but you need to use the connectors and termination kits they sell along with the cable to get the full benefit. I worked for them up until earlier this month, but I've moved on so now I'm no longer automatically biased when I say this. :)

not neccesarily. it should be sized according to the motor your feeding.
you might have 2000a feeding the cabinet with multiple drives.
it gets installed between the drive and the motor.
make sure you have plenty of guys on hand when you pull it, that stuff is stiff.
i installed a machine a couple weeks ago that required about 1000 feet of the stuff.
