Vid wire sizes

Just checking to make sure I am doing this right. 69fla VFD powering a 7.5hp motor. Feeding the VFD with #3 CU single phase and the 3 phase 7.5 motor output in #8. Is my conductor sizing correct?

Looks pretty close. 230 volt operation?

will your drive settings drop low enough to provide protection for your motor? Using a 25 HP VFD?

Seems to be about right to comply with NEC as the supply to the drive must be sized to the input rating of the drive, but here is where I question the requirements - the reality of this install is the supply side likely only sees about 40 amps max, I myself have no issue with smaller supply conductors if they are properly protected.

Your output conductors possibly can be 10 AWG.
