Viewing Window in 4160V Switch Enclosure

We are building custom 4160V switch and motor starter enclosures. Both will contain a 400A load break switch and will be used in an environment governed by MHSA. Any specifics on requirements of viewing windows for these enclosures? NEC Article 490.40 states they "shall be of suitable transparent material". What is considered suitable transparent material? Do they have to be high impact resistant?

Thanks for the reply zog. I'm not sure this applies to our situation. But one suggestion I gathered from the thread, to contact the manufacturer of the viewing window, would be a good place to start.
