A local Village is buying decorations. Lighted or non is the question. I told them that for me to legally put recepts on each pole would be cost prohibitive by the time I crossed all the Ts and dotted the Is. I know in the bigger area towns the POCO or whatever years ago just put in recepts wherever they deemed necessary. Overcurrent & GFCI protection....huh? How have others delt with this in a more recent time?

IMO, ...do what the code requires, and if "the village"
doesn't want to spend the monies necessary to have them
installed correctly, then walk away from it......Keep your
integrity and morals!

Yeah, ...it's that simple! :happyyes:

It probably would not be that horrible after they spend all that money on decorations. You could probably put a small xfmr, CB, and GFCI outlet on a pole for <$500 installed. I think I recall seeing a commercially available version of this kind of arrangement that you can get off the shelf and not have to make anything.
