Virginia IBC AFCI requirements

I am bidding on a complete gut and remodel in a high rise in Arlington County VA. Are the current Virginia AFCI requirements the same as NEC?

Ok. I found the answer. The VA Residential code requires AFCIs in bedrooms only. The Building code is identical to NEC.
 
Watch out. VA approved adoption of more recent IBC, IRC, and NEC versions last fall. I think there is either a statewide or jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction grace period, but I would certainly double-check if it means the difference between a couple of bedroom AFCIs vs. half-a-dozen for "similar rooms or areas."
