Have an existing installation where multiple conduits come up through slab in PVC conduit, then conductors run open to nearby equipment through chase nipples. This was covered by a sheetrock ?access cover?. One solution is to sleeve all these in flex (multiple 2? ? 3? sections). Another was to trim out the edges and place a metal cover, in effect making a junction box.
The wall, floor and one side of the ?box? are concrete, the other two ?sides? are the metal enclosures of equipment.
This is in an electrical room, and would in reality work effectively, but I?m not sure code would allow enclosing these conductors in such a manner. Anybody ever run into this situation before?
