Visual Notification in R-2

For R-2 is a visual needed to be available for a hallway, laundry room, or powder room? Assume you can't see any other strobes from this locations. Code seems to say yes, but I have never seen that many strobes in an R-2 unit. I have them in the living/kitchen, bedroom, bedroom bath, but this project is a 1600 sq ft dwellings that has a laundry room, long hallways, office, ect. Will have horns standard for 75 db that can be changed to visual/audible. And will have future absorbable for the bathrooms. Just not sure about the hall and laundry.
