Hello, I have a customer that is looking to have a 120v 30amp receptacle installed for her RV. The Rv is parked next to her shed150' from the panel(50ft in the basement..100 feet underground). She would also like a convenience receptacle in the shed, along with a led shop light. My question is , what size conductor should I use for this load considering voltage drop.. Thanks for any insight.

As an apprentice are you allowed to contract?

One thing need to know is how much voltage drop is allowed?

With an air conditioner compressor you might be able to tolerate a short term dip in voltage when it starts, if not you need much larger conductor than you would for long term steady current levels.

And the three and five percent levels mentioned in NEC are just informational notes and not code requirements - basically a suggestion. Some applications may not need to be that strict others may need to be very strict.

Use the information in the above posts to check the contractors wire sizes and numbers.
