I completely understand to apply the voltage drop formula to a single say THHN conductor but, is there anything different when doing this for a 4 - wire G-GC type cable?

Typical voltage drop calculations do not make any adjustment for insulating materials, proximity to other conductors, surrounding medium, ambient temperature, etc. Most are based solely on conductor element (Cu or Al), cross-sectional area (wire size), and distance.

If the manufacturer does not indicate the cable impedance then you may calculate it following-for instance:
Electric Power Research Institute EPRI
Power Plant Electrical Reference Series Volume 4 Wire and Cable
EL-5036 V4 Project 2334
ch.4-4 CABLE SIZING -VOLTAGE DROP
