Voltage drop on one leg

why would I have 80 V on one leg of an AC disconnect 240 V straight home run. Any thoughts would be helpful. Always appreciate the help.

This might seem like a dumb question but, are you measuring the line or load side. If this is on the line side and the voltage is correct at the start of the feeder it has to be in the conductor. If it's on the load side with no load it is something in the disconnect, you didn't say if this was a fused or breaker disconnect.

I have not gone now to diagnose yet. The HVAC tech said it was reading low voltage on one leg at the disconnect.
It is not really a good idea to try to trouble shoot something you heard from an HVAC tech. When you see the problem with your own eyes come back and ask your question(s).
