we have a service with utility pole about 500' away. we are supplying a 200a service with equipment load about 100amps give or take. whats the allowable voltage drop for the service entrance wire. The POCO in this area doesnt supply wire. The equipment is mostly electronic equipment thats 208/240 and a couple ac units 240v/35 amps each. Not much of a load.

please provide NEC address for voltage drop on service entrance. i couldnt find anything but a couple items saying there isnt any

There is no minimum allowable voltage drop for service entrance condcutors in the NEC.

There are informational notes attached to 210.19 and 215.2 that kind of recommend 3 and 5 percent voltage drop to provide reasonable efficiency of operation - but there is no requirement to provide such voltage drop levels, as a general rule. You may find specific applications in chapters 5-6-7 that do have a NEC specified voltage drop though.
