Voltage drop

For one example. If you install a 2hp 240v pump at 850ft from the source the FLA being 13 amps on a 1/0 feeder meets voltage drop parameters but what about start up current? Do we have to calculate voltage drop for start up current or only running current?

Why are you starting a new thread on essentially the same subject, except now we are at 240 V?

Why wouldn't you have to consider starting current? You want your motor to start.

There is no magic to voltage drop. What you have to design for is good operation of your equipment. With a good incandescent at the end of some branch circuit I might consider a voltage drop of 30% as OK because this lowers the cost of my circuit. But this would be completely unsatisfactory for most induction motors run at full load.
