I am taking over a house project, the service is 120/240 volt I figure the load at 150amps,the service cable is installed a 4/0 3c teck cable it is 510 ft. long. Is the cable large enough and if not what is the least costly way to fix.

Re: Voltage Drop

I calculate the voltage drop at about 9-volts at 150-amperes of load. I would assume that this maximum demand load and not continuous loading of the service. You are at just over 3% when fully loaded. I think the installation fine as it it.

Re: Voltage Drop

what is teck cable? I have not heard of it, and can't find anything about it in the code.
