Voltage drop?

How would I calculate this question?
You have a # 10 awg solid copper wire and the wire length is 500 feet. What is the ohms?

The other question was How do you come up with the amount of feet if you know the ohms and voltage.

Look at Chapter 9 Table 8, this will give you the resistance of the wire per thousand feet.

I would look at dc res. 75c # 10 solid then divide that by the wire length.

Divide the ohm/kFT number by 1000 then times that number by the wire length.

Ohms divided by ohms per foot(Chapt. 9) will give you distance.

The temperature is going to greatly effect your calculation also. If you ohm out a roll of wire, your mathematical estimate of length may be off if you didn't compensate for temperature.
