voltage drop

i'm taking a urban test in la. and i have the following question. if i have 120volts @ the panel and 115 @ switch what is this drop? they do not give feet or wire size. need help

Not sure what you are asking, but 5 seems to stick out. There has to be more to the question than a simple word problem

it is the line to load loss and should not exceed 3% or a total of feeder and line not to exceed %5 total but unless nec changed it is NOT code and just a suggested amount.

Ruffin it is either a 5 volt drop, or 4.16 percent drop. However there is no maximum limit in the NEC.
