vd=1.732xkxIxD
___________ I know VD so I end up with 4% = 2234.28 X I
__________
CM 133100

I do not remember how to cross multiply and divide? Or how do I end up with the right answer?

And If I know v =480 volts and I measure 464 v when machine is running can I assume my volt drop is 4%.

This current rating will change with my increas in wire size?

Multiple spaces get stripped out. If you want spaces, use "......" and change the color to white like th...is.

It is not "%" = # x I it is "voltage drop" = # x I
the % is "voltage drop" / Source voltage

1-464/480 = 3.33% drop or VD=16

So using the method you used:

vd = 16 = 1.732 x K x I x D / Cmil

I = (16 x Cmil) / (1.732 x K x D)
