Voltage Drop

When figuring voltage drop for several light poles can you calculate from the building panel to the first pole then start over from the first pole to the second pole with a reduced amperage total and so on and so on or do you have to figure the second pole from the panel also.

You can do it either way. The second way is easier. If it gives you an answer you like (e.g., one that does not require you to upsize any wires), then you can leave it there. The first way is more accurate, and can often save you money by allowing you to use smaller wire as you get closer to the last light. It's up to you.
