Is this a homework assignment? Do you know the formula for voltage drop? VD = (2 * L * K * I) / CM

LoL sounds like it~ anyway a more explicit definition.

Vd= 2 * K * L * I / Cm

K = 12.9 for copper 21.2 for aluminum
L = Length in feet of conductor (one direction)
I = Current of expected load (in amps)
Cm = circular mils of the conductor (for example 1/0 cable is 105600 Cmil)

Vd = will be the voltage that it drops over the length of the cable usually it can only drop 5% of the total voltage supplied.
