voltage over 50 volts physical protection

Ok, other than looking at other articles and using just common sense and safety, I thought there was a specific code that required that all wires be in conduit (or protected from physical damage) if over 50 volts. I'm have a brain spasm and cant find it.

Found a situation where someone ran a low voltage wire/cable with 120v to ground and its ran on the surface of a door and can be easily touched.

Wheres that article??
 
Are you talking NM or something like T-stat wire with 120v ran through it?

334.15(B) for NM. I then have an Oregon amendment stating under 8' is considered subject to physical damage.
 
Anything is subject to physical damage, the problem is determining how likely and to what extent the damage may be, or at least what extent is considered normal abuse for the application, anything beyond that is an exception that will just have to be dealt with when the abnormal happens.
