Are there any cases where there are requirements on the equipment grounding conductor insulation?

I have a 600v rated insulated equipment grounding conductor in the same conduit as 950VDC circuit conductors(rated at 1000v.

If the ECG is permitted to be bare, why would the insulation rating matter?

They do make 2KV PV wire in green, and I have had to install it 🙄😕. Almost had to run out and get a t-shirt made before pulling it that said "Yes I know this is stupid, it wasn't my idea I'm just doing what I am told."

We actually did something similar once, not for the insulation though. We had an engineer show and EGC to a POCO transformer, we told him that it was not needed but he stood his ground so we pulled it and tagged it something like, (yeah we know but the designer doesn't)
