Does anyone know if WA is going to change the administrators requirements within the next year? If so when, and a link to the proposed requirements would be appreciated. I want to take the test and get a administrators license before any potential new requirements would keep me from qualifying.

Thanks!

I hope to get my administrators card this year also. In the latest edition of "Elecrical Currents' on the L&I webpage it shows a schedule of stakeholder meetings and the last one will be June 11, so I don't expect any changes before that. Also, in the special edition it lists a timeline for the 2008 WAC Revision Process and shows December 2008 to be when any new rules will become effective. I may be reading these wrong, but it looks like we will be in the '05 code 'til next Dec.

WA will probably test on the 2005 NEC for about 6 months after it adopts the 08. And there are few questions on the admin test relating to code changes.
Go to the L&I web site and find the exam content for the type of admin you are taking, it breaks out the sections and questions for you. Also take a look at 296-46B for the exam content its in section 960 or so. spend most of your time on calculations.
Use the Mike Holt Journeyman or Masters exam prep books to study from, 200 questions a week, allow ten hours a week.

Thanks Tom! I was more concerned about them potentialy changing to a time in trade requirement for the test as I've heard rumors of that type of change. Thanks for the heads up on the studying. I'm working through the exam prep book right now. Very good stuff!
