I did a search and couldn't find the answer so I'm asking. What is the current NEC being using in WA state? Thanx for any assistance...I'm out in the sticks so their is no local AHJ to get an answer without traveling.

Washington state starts enforcing the 2017 NEC on July 1, 2017. You have about a week left in the 2014 NEC.

Thank you for the feedback. Was just checking something for a neighbor who is being required to have AFCI/GFCI for his new bathroom. I knew about the GFCI but doubted the AFCI. I'm new to WA and didn't see anything in the WA 2014 about such a requirement.

Yes, any electrical permits purchased before July 1st get inspected to NEC 2014 requirements. Permits purchased after June 30th, the 2017 code applies.
