I couldn't find this poll having already been taken, so here we are. Thanks in advance to all who participate. Please also indicate brand preference.

Jumbos are ugly, otherwise I choose between standard and mid depending. I try to match existing.

Wiremold boxes always get standard. Some drywall work is so sloppy you have no choice.

Generally, the smallest that looks good. I guess I volt standard.

I like the midway, which is standard for P&S, but had been using Leviton standard at the condos I was wiring to punish the sheetrockers, and the builder for using those crappy sheetrockers! If the sheetrock hanging is done poorly, there will gaps everywhere! I enjoy that.

Yeah it's always a debate for me whether to throw the sheetrockers under the bus when they do a crappy job and just use standard plates everywhere, and tell the client to either have the drywalls fix or I'll leave it up to them to go around and use mid or jumbo plates where needed. I guess I never actually do tha:
I make standards work where ever I can and use some mids if needed. I won't install jumbos

I almost always use the P&S mid size nylon plates. Never really had any issues with them.

I have seen Eaton nylon plates that tend to curl up over time, I don't generally use them, but a local farm supply store has them and they do get purchased on occasion if I don't have what I need.

Stainless plates are king but not desirable price wise in many instances. Designers only like them if it goes well with the look they want, in those cases cost doesn't mean anything either though.

I like the midsize ones because size wise they are more like the screw-less covers that I prefer for switches and dimmers.

That plate can cover a 2 gang box and still be oversized 🤣

It's the drywallers job to make a clean cut or to mud in up to the sides. Code only allows 1/8" but I am sure you know that

314.21 Repairing Noncombustible Surfaces. Noncombustible
surfaces that are broken or incomplete around boxes employing
a flush-type cover or faceplate shall be repaired so there
will be no gaps or open spaces greater than 3 mm (1∕8 in.) at the
edge of the box.
