I'm new here and I don't want to look to foolish, but I have a question relating to load calculations. Are there any special provisions that need to be considered when determining the load for a warehouse ????

If mainaly for lighting load just figured out 1/4 watt per sq ft this is pretty typical and the type of luminaire will depend on the design [ you may want to check with the local codes if they have a addtional addment related to this ]

but also you may have to double check with the blueprints for details too.

most warehouse is switching over to the highbay floursecent luminaires so it may change the figures some as well.

Merci, Marc

Never let that stop you from asking questions. The fool is the one who guesses, makes assumptions, and acts like he knows more than he does.

Special? No.

Do lighting as previously noted. If you use HID as your base then actually apply fluorescent high bays, you'll have some capacity.
Contact the HVAC designer and get some basic loads (fans/unit heaters/etc).
There will more than likely be an office (yes?) so look @ that.
Dock lights?
Dock levers?
Motorized OHDs (overhead doors)?
Site lighting?
Figure a basic quantity of recepts.

Spend about 30-45 minutes on this exercise and you'll have a conceptual service.
