warehouse lighting

Hey Everyone,
trying to bid a 10,000 sq' warehouse solely for storage and I'm looking for input on determining how many fixtures I should use. Obviously code says a minimum 2500 va but, that seems pretty dark, the wholesaler says 6400 va but that seems too brite. I was planning to use t8 8' fixtures w/ 4, 4' lamps ea. on 14' off floor truss system.
