We have junction boxes that are installed in Class I, Div 2, Group B locations. The equipment inside of the enclosure is suitable for the locations (i.e. non-incendive).
We normally put a sign inside of the enclosure that states "DO NOT DISCONNECT WIRES, OPEN DISCONNECT-TERMINALS, OR REPLACE FUSES WITHOUT THE AREA FIRST BEING DECLASSIFIED".
I was asked if this meets the requirement of NEC. I had a look at 501 but didn't see anything. Does the NEC specify sign requirments for this?
