I am installing a 50 gallon hot water heater. my dilema is that its 80 feet away from the breaker box. its 240 volts it lists the watts as 4500 per element but a total of 4500 watts so dividing it out i come up with 23.75 amps.
using a voltage drop calculator I come up with a #10 gauge wire will work with a 30 amp breaker but i am having a hard time finding it in the code book am i correct thanks for your help
