Any good ideas on how to handle that water softners transformer plug that is intended to plug into 120 volts and put out 12 vac.Only available power near it is 240 volts for the pump on a 2 pole 20.Looking for cheap way out but legal.Running 12-2 uf means digging 130 feet.Is there a transformer available to plug into 240 to give 12 volts ?

If you check an electronics supplier, I'm sure you can find a power supply. If I remember correctly, many of the "wall warts" have a range of 100-250 volts.
