Anyone got any ideas on the easiest way to keep moisture down on the ground in a enclosure made from pvc that has a 8 x 8 box inside that we have to leave uncovered inside the vault to allow for 28 day temp wiring to christmas lights. We have 4 each 20a fuzed fuze holders also inside the enclosure. Any ideas would be welcomed.

Merry Christmas.

Don't fight the inevitable. Weatherproof/watertight all you connections just in case your plan to keep moisture out doesn't work.

My supply house sells bottles of CRC brand dielectric grease that I use for things like this. Slather everything with it, and you'll be in good shape. The other alternative is to do like they do on boats. Cover everything in silicone. There's always Scotch's liquid electrical tape that you could paint on, but it's quite messy. I suspect that even without any special treatment, a normal connection would last at least 28 days. You don't think so?

Absolutly right!! If it is underground, it will get wet. The question is not how to keep water out, it is how to install a water tight circuit.
