We need a web page for Contractors too report bad homeowners or business owners on.

This would be simular to the Better Business Bureau for consumers, but only for us Contractors.

Any & all contractors, licensed or un-licensed, can check references on consumers before doing a job & report non payment, slow payment, broken contract disputes, etc.

To be fair, (If we have to) we can allow the consumer a venue to reply to complaints against them.

Members can display a Window sticker letting consumers know the contractor is a reporting member.

Any good Web Site Designers in here?

Yeah, I like it as a rough idea. Might need some legal advice - don't want to slander anyone. But, I think it could be a useful.

It is an idea, but keep in mind that the BBB is not an advocate for either the consumer or the business. They are a neutral component and seek only to foster arbitration between the parties that will result in an agreeable solution to the dispute.

As has been pointed out, public disclosure of information on a particular consumer with regard to credibility could be taken as defamatory statements and could expose them to potential litigation.

I'd advise caution here.
