Hello I have a customer that has a welder I looked at his cord and and ordered a receptacle for it I go to install it and realizes a non-grounding type 10-30 -r.
It’s an old Montgomery welder about 50 years old. My supply conductors are Rated for 50 amps.
The unit only has a 10 gauge whip original to the units
I Don’t really want to go and mess with the original cord.
How should I approach.
