Please see attachment relating to welding safety tips from Australia.
I have asked several "old-timers" about these precations and most say if welding leads are maintained in good condition there would be no hazard. But as we all know welding cables in heavy construction are not always maintained in good condition. Are bonding precautions, as referenced in the attachment, a practical and viable precaution against electrical incidents? Also sould same precautions be taken for crane supported work platforms or would insulated rigging tackle be the best solition? Comments from our electrical professionals appreciated.
