I was told that if I hace a 60 amp breaker and a 60 amp receptacle for a 60 amp welding machine, I should not run a 30 amp welding machine out of the 60 amp receptacle. I was told that there was a NEC code regulating this. Can anyone help clarify this for me and if there is a code stating this, what is the reference # for the code?
