When feeding more than one welding receptacle from a single 480V MCC feeder, what is the minimum rating of the receptacles allowed per the NEC in an industrial plant? The welding receptacles do not have an integral circuit-breaker (or disconnecting means), the feeder breaker being proposed is 100A. Table 210.21(B)(3), seems to indicate that the receptacle has to be no smaller than the branch circuit rating, but does this apply to a 480V feeder?
