well, i needed a j box.....

for a low voltage keypad for a dimmer system in a home....

there were no three gang wiremold boxes to be had anywhere, and the wall was poured concrete, so
cutting it in wasn't going to work well....

finally ended up making a box to sit on the bedside table... wood was sapele... african mahogany.

yeah, it did cost more than a 3 gang surface mount box...

Beautiful wood, nice job on the box. I can't get that kind of wood up here. There was an exotic wood store in Anchorage about 20 years ago and I scored some nice birds' eye maple, but the store went out of business. I bet I know what you do in your spare time.

The table top isn't bad, either.
