Personally, I've done this type of install many times without a problem, Never had a panel flood yet... I do install ductseal to stop any moisture, thats about it...

Hmm, when I pictured it in my head I thought it would work... Maybe I should explain?

I would run the 2" from the pedestal to the handhole set next to the foundation and 90 it up. The conduit exiting the box would run vertically next to the wall and 90 through the foundation into the back of the panel. Then Ductseal. I can't see moisture being a problem when the pipe coming into the panel is only 3-5 ft long or so.

Ooops. That makes perfect sense.

I think cadpoint remembers the RDU parking deck and the problems with water flooding the switchgear room. how did they ever fix that?

That would work great as long as the handhole doesn't flood like in the springtime when all the snow is melting and the ground is still semi-frozen. I know.....I'm the definition of devils' advocate:cool:

Raychem makes a nice duct seal kit that should be 100% effective. You inflate a "bag" with a CO2 cartridge. I've used them and they work great.

I also like the LB idea. You could come in the side as posted, or lower the trench and come up into the bottom of the panel.

Or you could use the direct burial MC cable.
