Customer called this fall and wanted a new bin wired. Ok. We’ve done several for him. All ready to order parts and he says the only people he can find to put the bins up want to do everything. Ok, at least nothing was ordered. I told him to make sure the electricians were duly licensed.

Today, two months later he calls to let me know things aren’t going well with the certified electricians from Arkansas and would like us to do the job, even if we have to temporary things to begin with. Grrrrreat!!

Now just what are the chances that the electricians from Arkansas have any licensing at all, let alone Nebraska?

Same guys who did this

Most POCO's aren't requiring it, but we have one in this area that if you were getting 480 volt service, they want an inspection or they won't energize it. Of course you know to get an inspection you pretty much need to file a permit, and you aren't getting a permit if you are not a contractor license holder or the owner filing an owner requested permit.

State law still says you need a license to do electrical work (for others) even if the project doesn't require permits/inspections.

I once finished wiring a house (mistake) that someone had started. He/they/it had pulled EVERY homerun and not even one was labled!

I might have done that just to get a reaction. At same time would have put a number or letter code on other side and had a list somewhere to identify what they actually went to though.
Hey, you tell the apprentice to go get the "pipe stretcher" enough times... and you might get some backlash, lol. If this was intended as backlash, I would applaud this individual.
