What are clearance requirements for safety switch (disconnect) handles?

I have two disconnects to be mounted on a narrow wall. Dimensions only allow 2.5" between disconnects with one on/off handle between. Is this acceptable?

I thought there was a requirement of 30"? I could be wrong. I don't have my code book handy right now. If I get a chance before someone else responds I'll look it up.

You are correct, however the equipment doesn't have to be centered between the 30". They can be butted up against each other as long as there is 30" of clearance on the left and on the right.
