What are wire prices doing in your neck of the woods?

I bought some NM today, and noticed 12-2 (250 ft)has gone up from $37.50 to $40.97 since last week. It corresponds with the annual increase of spring building, but given the economy, and lack of building, I am a bit surprised at the increase. (I have not checked copper prices lately) On a good note, I did buy some #1 common red oak hardwood flooring for the lowest I have paid in ten years...$1.35 a foot.

What prices are you paying for 12-2?

I've been watching the copper commodities go up 25% or so over the past several weeks. While copper prices did drop somewhat near the end of this past week, the upward pressure on the markets had to appear in the price of wire sooner or later.

I have been watching from late dec to now about 1.25 lb to 2.00 lb I have stockpiled on 10,000 ft and am waiting for the price to creep up at the big box stores but they have not followed. Take the train to crazytown.
