I just need some current books that i can study for this test. Ive read some threads that were old and it seems you cannot take the same prep materials with you in the classroom.

Mikes book and the codebook. Know the following well:

Ohms Law, conductor and box fill, derating conductor ampacity for temperature and more than 3 current carrying conductors, conduit fill using different sizes of wire (you have to calculate it from conductor properties, no table) some with the table, codebook navigation, (ya gotta be quick, ya only get around 2.5 mins a question to answer) range loads from "the table from hell" dryer and water heating derating, service calculations for branch circuits, feeders in res, comm and ind, overcurrent protection, motor starter protection, fire alarms, continuous duty 1.25, three phase calcs (sq rt of 3 1.732) voltage drop, resistance in series and paralell. Swimming pools, fountains, spas, hot tubs, AFCI and GFCI protection, flexible cords and some stupid stuff. Be sure you can navigate the book fast, memorize the articles so you know right where to go, then zero in for the kill !!! Good Luck, questions just ask....... Youll be fine....... Jim
