I need to run some cable about 150 feet at 225A/480V.

What size do I need?

You have not provided near enough info for a decent answer.
What type cable ? (SO, TC, Conduit & wire, etc)
What type load ? (motors, lighting, etc)
Is 225 amp the actual load ?

THHN in Conduit, Motor, 225 is the line coming from the switch gear and we are taking it to a transformer.

THe 225 amp circuit is feeding a transformer ? If so, what KVA ?
Is the motor the only load ? What HP ?
