What Code revision cycle did ...

We are doing a code compliance upgrade project and it would be helpful to know which year the code changed to require independent support wires for conduits, as opposed to using the ceiling support wires. I remember the change, I just can pin down when it happened.

I bet it is well over 20 years or so in seismic rated ceiling in California. so you need to check the CA code not the national code.

it was the 1993 code that made that change in the NEC.
