What compound(if any) to use on 3 phase circuit breaker terminals to bus bar.

I am replacing a 20 amp 3 phase circuit breaker in a 460 volt panel. I am replacing it because one of the bus bar connections had some arcing and lightly burned the bar on the breaker. Is there any compound that I should consider using on the breaker connections to the bus bar ? Thanks, Steve Wiese.

Schneider Electric has tubes of PJC (plug-on joint compound) for these types of connections. I think they say to use it every time a breaker is moved.

Are you planning to install the new breaker in the same location as the old breaker? If so you will have the same failure. Once the buss bar connection is damaged it should not be used again. No compound will fix it.
