Have any of you ever use these before? they are suppose to be quick wire lev lock receptacles.

One guy suggest that with these type of 'disconnects' on the back of the receptacles you would not have to turn off the breaker. I disagreed, and stated even though these are probably safer on doing hot work when necessary, if you have to take off the cover according to NFPA 70e still requires you to turn off the power before doing that because the conductors are still energized even though they are not 'bare copper' exposed.
Am I correct in this understanding?? These type of receptacles will not enable a person to ignore NFPA 70e. Maybe cut down on the bid of a job since they are quick wire. ;)

I would agree with you. I would still not want to install theses devices on a live circuit and i would be doubtful that the manufacturer would recommend this on their installation instructions. Plus at $17.50 a piece (the price i seen) you would have to be wiring a ton of them to offset the installation time.

I would agree on both counts. We used the P&S equivalent of the lev-lok on a hotel job because they were spec'd. The guy's loved it at finish out time because they were able to FLY but I find it hard to believe that labor hours saved would justify the cost of the device.
