I would be interested in opinions as to the $$$ for the following:

1. Old kitchen cabinets being replaced with new style, footprint will remain, adding 5 under cabinet lights to be controlled by existing switch, can access attic above kitchen. I think cabinets will be removed at the time the new go in. Would need to fish all five UC.
2. Move three recess fixtures about 18? from cabinet face
3. Add outlet for under cabinet microwave, part of the basement is finished
4. Add wall light in stairwell going to basement, will come off of existing recessed light at bottom of the stairs, this is finished drywall too.
5. Add two outlets in finished basement from existing outlets about five feet apart, new cabinets, for surface microwave and small refer.
6. Add outlet in Hardwood floor under sofa, would need to fish about four feet to get to unfinished part of basement.
7. In an adjacent part of the kitchen, new wall to go in with two new under cabinet lights and two GFCI receptacles for counter top.
8. Remove and replace chandelier in vaulted living room, about 15? AFF.

I know this hard to answer without seeing everything but I would like to know if an estimate of $1,200.00 seems out of line.

Like the others - too low
Like the others - busy/late right now; detailed answer tom'row.

i just did it quick on a napkin,,,worse case seriono,,2860.00,you buy the undercounter lites,,without walking the job,,its kind of tough,,
anyone else,,,,,,,,,

Customer to supply the fixtures. I would expect to hear back from them at any time, they were going to get other quotes. I told them this was an ESTIMATE and I could not give a firm $$. I'm sure there will be some unanticipated problems.

Where is the panel?
A lot will depend on that.
What brand panel?
Hopefully NOT FPE.

Just how BIG is this fixture (#'s, diameter)?
I couldn't even "guess-timate" that sight unseen....what is the floor - marble, ceramic, hardwood; stairs in the way, etc.

For items 1-7 = $1915 (+ for #6) PLUS item #8 - the last fixture I moved in an entry foyer about 20' AFF was $400..
Realistically, you're probably looking at about $2500 w/o any fixture purchases....but I am in NJ.

There are many good low cost, estimating programs out there, start using one, and do a site walk thru on this job, to find the job conditions, and then you will have a good idea of a workable price.
