NFPA 70E - 2004 paragraph 400.10 requires

Switchboards,
Panelboards,
Industrial control panels, and
Motor control centers...
be field marked with ARC hazard.

Are there other types of equipment that OSHA requires marking with ARC hazard?

Thats about it, but that probally covers everything in your plant. You should label bus runs at about every 10FT. Anything that requires adjustsments, maintenance, troubleshooting, voltage testing, etc.

If you have a more specific question it would be easier to answer.

2005 NEC

110.16 Flash Protection.
Switchboards, panelboards, industrial control panels, meter socket enclosures, and motor control centers that are in other than dwelling occupancies and are likely to require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized shall be field marked to warn qualified persons of potential electric arc flash hazards. The marking shall be located so as to be clearly visible to qualified persons before examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance of the equipment.
FPN No. 1: NFPA 70E-2004, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, provides assistance in determining severity of potential exposure, planning safe work practices, and selecting personal protective equipment.
FPN No. 2: ANSI Z535.4-1998, Product Safety Signs and Labels, provides guidelines for the design of safety signs and labels for application to products.

It was the meter socket enclosure reference that escaped me.

To try this against a couple of installation types:

mercantile store meter socket enclosure - required
dwelling meter socket enclosure - not required
combination motor starter - ?
fused disconnect switch - ?
transformers - ?

Thank you for the dialogue.

The 2008 NEC (and I'm sure the 70E as well) have added the term "equipment such as switchboards, MCCs, metersocket enclosures..."

With this new language, I would use a rule of thumb approach: If you think it needs a clear work space as described in 110.26(A) because it is likely to require adjustment, servicing, etc., I would require the arc flash sticker, since they have the same driving lanuage about servicing, adjusting, etc.
