I am installing a generator inlet box and using 1" SCH 80 PVC to do it as it will be in an area where the conduit WILL get bumped into by plastic trashcans and maybe a ladder. I have been beating my head against the wall trying to find out what fitting to use to go into the side of the metal meter disconnect/load center on the side of the house. The same connector will be needed at the generator inlet as the case of it is metal as well. I found the Southwire Simpush connectors, but they will take two weeks to arrive...

Any help would be appreciated. I am also open to using something other than PVC if it is rain tight and can be used where subject to damage.

And yes, I am using an interlock so I don't back feed the grid and zap a lineman.
