I need NEC references that talk about 24VAC grounding requirements. I have a smaller cabinet fed 24VAC ungrounded, just a hot and a neutral, by a large transformer that also feeds several other similar cabinets. My gut feeling is that they should be grounded but I can't find a reference for voltages under 50v. Any help would be appreciated.

250.20 States that any alternating-current systems operating below 50 volts shall not be grounded
(bonded) to the metal case. Also see were the article has exceptions.
